The boy's parents Bruce Wayne, Thomas and Martha Wayne are killed by a thief and at the funeral Bruce finds an underground cave. During the battle of Metropolis, Superman caused some damage in his fight against General Zod. Bruce Wayne / Batman walks the streets to his Wayne Industries building which is affected by the fight and the building collapses killing an employee of Bruce named Jack. Another Bruce employee, Wallace Keefe, was pinned by his legs under debris. Bruce finds a girl and Bruce saves her from debris falling on her and asks about her mother and the girl tells him that she was in a building that was destroyed and Bruce hugs her and sees Superman fight Zod .
